A Note on the 2008-2009 Season

Hey everyone,

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that's been checking out the site and inquiring about joining us on a trip. We cannot wait to bring this to you! That being said, we also wanted to clarify how we are operating this season.

Unfortunately, we will not be running our weekly trips out of NYC and NJ but instead will be operating on a charter only basis. If your group is interested in taking a ski trip, we can set up your entire event from start to finish. We can pick you up at a location of your choice and manage all lift tickets and rentals at a discounted group rate, regardless of size. Please email jay@bluebirdskitours.com or call 1-866-976-BIRD ext. 2 and we will be in touch with you.

Occasionally, our charter buses have extra seats and we give the group the option to open the remaining seats to the public to reduce costs. In these cases we will post the seats online for you to purchase. For first "dibs", make sure you sign up on our email list as we will send out these opportunities to the subscribers first.

Hoboken Street Fair is a Success

Good evening everyone,

So we finally caught up on our rest after a long day yesterday. BlueBird Ski Tours was in full effect at the Hoboken Arts and Crafts Festival.

Despite the morning rain, we had our stand up informing everyone in town about what we are going to be offering this city as soon as snow falls in the area.

Overall reception was really positive with a lot of people interested in coming out on some trips this year. We will be keeping everyone posted as soon as we get our prices out for year. Expect that very soon. Also we will be posting more trips to more mountains.

As usual, pray for snow.....

Pictures from the Int'l Celtic Fest

Good morning everyone!

We wanted to express our deepest gratitude to everyone that attended the International Celtic Fest with us last weekend as we celebrated our first trip of the 08-09 season. Not only did we have a full bus, but the weather was nothing short of sublime.

The fest itself was awesome. There were vendors galore, selling anything from stained glass to kilts. Food was everywhere you turned and the entire day was serenaded by all of the bands that were playing. I will let the images below speak for themselves how pretty the mountain looked up top.

We hope all of our customers had a great time, and we look forward to serving them again. We are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience and website. Please submit any pictures you had from the trip along with any feedback to jay@bluebirdskitours.com.

The Hunter Mountain Celtic Festival

Good morning,

Just wanted to post some more info for anyone that is interested in joining us for the Hunter Mountain International Celtic Festival. Our trip will be August 17, 2008, leaving out of NYC and Hoboken, NJ. To sign up for the trip, click here.

The point of this trip is for BlueBird Ski Tours to stretch out its legs a little bit. The trip is open to the public. We want to get people excited about the company even before winter approaches...and what a better way than to get everyone up to the hill for a day!

You can view info on Hunter's website for complete schedule and vendor list here, but be sure to come back to us to sign up for the trip.

Busses will be leaving NYC first at 8:00AM sharp and then will have a pickup at Hoboken by 8:30AM. Breakfast will be served and movies will be shown on the bus ride up to Hunter. Tickets are going to be pre-purchased, so you will be able to get off the bus and start having fun right away!

The highlights of the day include music from various genres of Irish music and cultural based performances. Irish food, and of course.....my favorite....BEER! The finale is the Bagpiper Parade. Watch as over a hundred bagpipers march down the face of Hutner Mountain. Here is a video from last year.

We also urge you to get the skyride package. This will allow you to go to the peak of Hunter Mountain and really take in the mountain air! Hike down or just get back on lift for a casual decline.

The Site is Live and Running!

Hey everyone!

It has been a long time coming, but our new site is up and running and beautiful! First I would like to thank everyone that has made this launch possible. It has been a lot of hard work....so now, let's start having fun!

Please poke around the site and join all of the community groups, enter your name on our mailing list, and most important, sign up for the trip! I will have more info on the Celtic Fest in the next post.

As always, your feedback and comments are all graciously accepted. Any advice that you can pass along that will make this a smoother experience for you as customers will be a huge benefit.
